About Us

Charlotte started Hainault hydrotherapy in 2006 after realising the amazing benefits of hydrotherapy in the rehabilitation of dogs. Her own dog Harry a Douge de Bordeaux suffered with elbow dysplasia and tore his cruciate ligament. After surgery to fix his cruciate ligament at the Royal Veterinary College, Harry was referred to a hydrotherapy centre. At the time the nearest centre was a one-hour drive away and Harry was taken twice a week until he was back to full health.

At first Harry was unable to weight bare on this leg and his muscle was virtually non-existent. Harry became very depressed and was not the dog we knew. Within a few weeks of starting hydrotherapy his flexibility and muscle tone had improved dramatically and he was now weight baring, the swelling around his joint was nearly gone and he was a much happier and comfortable dog.

Charlotte is now joined by a team of like-minded people who show the same compassion and professional responsibility.

Harry

"I want to thank my best friend, my beautiful Bordeaux Harry who has now sadly passed. I couldn’t have done it without him. I love and miss you every day Harry and I now have my dream job because of you. Sleep tight x x x"

Justines interest in hydrotherapy started after taking her own dogs, Chester and Dottie to Hainault Hydrotherapy Centre for treatments. She started to bring her ex racing greyhound Dottie after she broke her leg as well as suffering with arthritis. As a result of this she went on to study canine hydrotherapy at Greyfriars rehabilitation centre and qualified as a canine hydrotherapist.

Having qualified she sought vacancies to use her new found skills and undertook voluntary work at Hainault Hydrotherapy in parallel with her veterinary nursing, until being offered a full time position in 2012.

Justines knowledge and experiences from being a Veterinary nurse have proved invaluable to our centre and she has quickly become a valued member of our team.

In her spare time Justine enjoys spending time with her rescued greyhounds and socialising with her friends.
